Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is produced by chemically reducing graphene oxide (GO). During reduction, most oxygen-containing groups are removed, restoring the sp² carbon lattice and significantly improving electrical conductivity. rGO offers an excellent balance between cost and performance, making it the most commercially viable graphene material for industrial applications.
Graphene oxide (GO) contains abundant oxygen functional groups making it hydrophilic and water-dispersible but electrically insulating. Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has most of these groups removed, restoring electrical conductivity. GO is preferred for water-based applications (coatings, filtration); rGO is better for electrical, thermal, and structural applications.
Graphene powder should be handled with appropriate PPE including gloves and a dust mask. Avoid inhaling graphene dust. Work in a well-ventilated area or fume hood. We provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with every order.
Malaysia produces over 4 million tonnes of palm kernel shell waste per year. PKS is renewable, locally abundant, and low-cost — otherwise burned or landfilled. Our process transforms this waste into high-value graphene, reducing environmental impact while ensuring a stable, affordable raw material supply chain.
Our rGO has a carbon purity of greater than 99 wt%, verified by elemental analysis. Oxygen content is less than 5 wt%. Further confirmed by Raman spectroscopy showing a G/D band ratio greater than 1.5, indicating a well-restored graphitic structure with minimal structural defects.
All orders include a Certificate of Analysis (CoA). On request: Raman spectroscopy data, SEM/TEM images, elemental analysis (C, H, O), BET surface area, XRD data, and particle size distribution.
We supply from 1.0 g (research) to 50 kg+ (industrial bulk). For very large volumes or ongoing supply agreements, contact us to discuss custom pricing and scheduling.
